It’s almost a week late, but today I am sharing the Best of April. Each month, I like to highlight all the projects, decor, plans, and happenings. I thank each and every single one of you for making this blogging journey a joy and joining me on all my designing and DIY adventures.
Before we get started, I would love some prayers and well wishes for my oldest son, Bman. He just broke his arm and dislocated his shoulder and he is in a lot of pain. Because of where he broke it, they couldn’t do much in the ER so we going to a specialist first thing this morning. He is so bummed that he can’t play outside with his friends, so we are hoping for a speedy recovery with summer just around the corner!
Now, let’s get to it and see our April!
I shared how I gilded these agate slice coasters. They are the perfect addition to my coffee table and I love the mix of gold with the natural.
This little thrift store table got a makeover. By using a high gloss spray paint and adding chic hardware details, it is as good as new! You can see the spray paint table makeover for all the details.
With Creating with the Stars coming to an end, I released my tutorial of my DIY Bar Cabinet inspired by the Worlds Away Anna Bar Cabinet. The tutorial contains full instructions on how you can build your own from scratch.
I shared my new office lamp and my picks for chic table lamps.
We discussed the pros and the cons of real vs. faux sheepskins. I also shared a new source for high quality sheepskins.
Another successful treasure hunting trip brought home some goodies. You can see my latest thrifty finds around my house.
I have been sharing my office updates and a complete source list so you can get this office look.

I shared that we will be spending our summer in Connecticut. It is exciting for all of us and we are ready to explore all that the upper east coast has to offer! I will be sharing more projects and some ways to make a rental a home in the next 3 months.
We are hoping to have all the tile work in our bathroom done before we leave, so you might be getting a bathroom update in the next couple weeks…hopefully!
Yesterday, I announced a fun summer series I am co-hosting with these wonderful ladies pictured above! Be sure to read the details on the Summer Style Soiree and link party. I hope you join us May 15th for our first link party with projects inspired by Audrey Hepburn.
April felt like such a whirlwind of a month with playing catch up after Creating with the Stars and then getting everything ready for the BHG shoot. So many good things and I am curious to see how our summer will be a rental. It feels like a little adventure!
Now, I am going to go see what we can do for Bman’s arm and shoulder. Hopefully, he will be back to playing before school is out!
