It’s time for the Fall Edition of Blogger Stylin’ Home Tours! If you are coming from Kelly’s blog Eclectically Vintage, I hope you enjoy seeing my somewhat unconventional take on how I am welcoming fall into our home this year.
Truth be told, I have several projects in the works right now. I can’t share the details just yet, but I can let you in on what’s been going on very soon. Promise!
With that said, I haven’t had a ton of time shop for fall decor… nor do I want to. I love fall staples like pumpkins and gourds, but our stores just started to put these out. It seems too early to me. I’m more of a October pumpkin buying kind of girl.
This fall, I am really feeling a different approach to cozying up our nest.
While out thrifting one day, I found a gorgeous silk embroidered Spanish shawl or piano shawl…I’m not quite sure its original purpose. The floral design just screamed fall to me. The colors are rich, and I knew I wanted this to be my jumping off point.
Fall florals are trending this season, but I’m not the kind of girl who hops on every trend. This just happens to be a coincidence or happy accident.
I first shopped my house for items to incorporate into our fall decor. I stuck to pulling things from the inspiration I gave above.
I also stumbled upon some striking dahlias at the farmer’s market and they compliment the look and feel of what I wanted to bring into our space.
Without further ado, here’s our fall home tour…
I am loving this carefree approach to fall decor in our home this year. As the harvest comes in, this will evolve and change. It’s so great to enjoy those last blooms of summer and usher in some fall-inspired pieces.
