Bliss at Home is a place that I hope inspires you to embrace your own personal style and look at your home from a fresh perspective. I founded B@H in June of 2012 in hopes to do just that.
I’ve coined my personal style as ‘daring but lovely’. I look to my background in art & design and I have applied what I have learned to my home. Always an emphasis on good design. It’s lovely because I start with classic and traditional foundations that have stood the test of time. I love them! I am the girl who goes to the city and always looks up to see all the architectural details. It’s daring because I love to mix. Modern influences, different styles, pops of color and pattern. I pull a lot of inspiration from the fashion world.
Interiors are my passion. I have a creative mind that never stops. I’ve been drawing up room plans and making things since I was little. Designing homes and spaces is what makes my heart race. I love to bring you into my own personal space on this blog. You are invited to join me on all my designing adventures at home as I make our house into a standout. By the way, it’s the house I grew up in — so… the stories I could tell of shag carpet in the bathroom–yep.
I live here in the heartland of America with my beyond amazing husband, Dave. Trust me. He’s beyond amazing — he puts up with me and my design hungry nature. I am so lucky to be his wife. He puts up with my ever-changing ideas and is my biggest cheerleader. He’s my partner in DIY projects. We are learning how to work together on our home remodel and I am so thankful for all his help and insight along the way. We have two sons and they are guilty of making us laugh and smile each day. We also have a Zoey. Zoey is our little 5 pound furbaby Maltese. She’s the little girl of the family.
I love blogging and it has connected me to the design world in some pretty amazing ways! It’s become part of this blog and I am so grateful for every amazing collaboration and every reader I meet along the way. I dream big and I am on a path to not only bring style to my home but to yours as well.
