DIY Ornament Tree

Good Morning!

I have been making preparations for our holiday decor and wanted to share with you a project we started yesterday.

I have a vision for a glammed up holiday at home this year. I love all the ball ornament decorations I see out and about, but some of that stuff can get pretty pricey!

I purchased these very ugly fake rose topiaries at a garage sale for $1 each, knowing that I was going to use the base and the foam cone for this project. I like to hunt out things that have good bones that can be made over whether it be furniture, decor, or clothing.

I had my trusty assistant helping me pull all the flowers off. Good riddings!

I picked up some gold and silver ball ornaments dirt cheap from Goodwill. I bought all different sizes and only spent $7! I also went the shatter-proof route since little hands are so curious at home.

I simply just started at the base with the larger ornaments and gradually went smaller as I worked my way up. I opted for the glue gun and it worked out fine. After my first layer was in place I just filled in any gaps with the smaller ornament balls.

One down, one more to go!

I also like how this transitions to New Year Decor too…

Very glam indeed!

Have Β a great Wednesday!!

So glad to know I’m not the only one working on holiday decorations. May have to copy that idea. I’m changing colors this season and thinking of a mantel in nothing but trees of various textures and candles.

You did a great job on your tree. Great job transforming your $1 finds. Your tree adds so much sparkle. I am visiting from Centsational Girl’s party.
