Today I am sharing my Christmas home as part of Balsam Hill’s Tastemakers: A 10th Anniversary Housewalk. Balsam Hill asked a few of their favorite bloggers to share their holiday homes to help celebrate their 10th Anniversary! Congrats on the big “10” Balsam Hill! I also have a giveaway for you as part of the fun so you can bring some Balsam Hill goodies home in time for your holiday decorating! (Giveaway at the end of this post.)
Details on our Balsam Hill tree…
Last year, I shared our Balsam Hill Calistoga Fir Tree with you. I opted for a slim pre-lit tree for our space since our room is quite long. This tree is part of their Instant Evergreen™ Easy Plug™ collection. So easy to set up! You just snap the three pieces together and it lights up. No cords or connections to have to worry about.
This year, I’m adding in a few key pieces to change up my tree decor. It’s always fun to mix it up and keep it fresh for Christmastime.
Here’s a look at our Christmas tree this year and I’ll break down what I did to update it.
This year, I really wanted to build upon the gold, black, and silvers I had on my tree already. I love our gray tufted velvet ottoman so I wanted to work more grays and velvet into our tree.
Balsam Hill had THE PERFECT (hello! I mean P E R F E C T) gray velvet ribbon that compliments our ottoman. I used it as a tree topper bow and ran it down my tree. I also plan to use it throughout our home once I get to decorating more.
I also added some ornaments with gray and silver adornments to add another layer to my collection.
The final touch was a gorgeous gray tree skirt.
Voila! I updated my tree with just a few new additions.
Here are the key pieces I added in from Balsam Hill:
