THE PROJECTS & THINGS HAPPENING AT THE #BHVINTAGECOLONIAL
It’s almost the weekend! Today, I wanted to start a new post series about what’s happening Around the House. I thought it’d be an easy way to keep you guys up on our new projects and happenings with Bliss at Home.
I’ve been busy coming up with the game plan for our first room we are making over– our living room and entry way. You guys–I am in textile heaven right now!
-Just a look at the direction I’m going for the living room.-
I’ve started making selections on things and still have a bit of sourcing to do, but have made some serious progress this week! Hooray! I’m hoping to have my paint, wallpaper, and fabric selections finalized by the end of next week so I keep to my timeline for an April/May reveal for these spaces. With so many rooms to tackle, I feel like I need some working timetables to keep me on track.
Speaking of the entry way…things are starting to arrive for it and THIS GUY is a stunner! That’s one chic umbrella holder! It’s from Mintwood Home and you can see it here. I’m a sucker for anything gold bamboo!
On President’s Day, we did a little family activity time. Dave, I, and the kids started filling out this cute My Bucket List book. We found it at Anthropologie and you can see it here. It has pages to fill out 101 things and chronicle your experiences.
We thought it fitting since we have so many things we want to experience here in New England. The boys had a blast researching places and activities with us. Now we have a lot of new memories to make!
A week ago we had a blizzard and two feet of snow and now we have springlike temperatures today! I’ve given a lot of my money to Kleenex this week…let’s just say the local honey a day trick isn’t kicking in yet! The season change always makes me want to add something new to our home. I went into Williams Sonoma for board oil and left with some new soaps and cleaners! I just fell in love with their Grapefruit scented soaps and cleaners. I highly recommend them if you want a fresh clean scent for the spring.
I’ll be sharing the progress on our living room and entry way as things get going and progress is made. A home definitely takes time. I find myself not being as decisive than when I help others, but I think that’s pretty normal! It is coming together nicely though and I can’t wait to start showing you guys what I’ve been up to.
