My New Favorite Bookcase & Storage

Today, I am sharing my new favorite addition to my office space. When shopping for furniture for this space, I wanted something with clean lines that could be used for storage. I instantly loved the Tower Bookcase from Sauder Furniture. It had the open shelving that I wanted and it is metal, so I know it is sturdy.

While shopping on their site, I also found some great storage ottomans that I can use for files and important papers. The Upholstered Storage Ottoman is lightweight enough to move around, yet has a very sturdy top. I like to have matching ottomans in pairs because they work great under a console table or in kids’ spaces. I move furniture around here a lot, so it is always nice to have options.

I really like the texture of the storage ottomans next to the modern and sleek style of bookcase.

I really hate to put furniture together. There–secrets out! Usually, I enlist Dave for that job! With Dave out of town, I had the job of putting it all together. The storage ottomans were beyond easy–big relief. The bases pop up and you just place the lid on top. I am really impressed with how well made the lid is. It has a good solid construction.

The bookcase I was dreading, truth be told. To my surprise, it was super easy to assemble, just bolts and an allen wrench! I didn’t even need to glance at the instructions. Phew! Crisis averted!

I love the new additions to my office! Both are well-constructed and I had them put together in minutes. That’s great, especially since I am an assemble-furniture-a-phobe.

I have been really impressed with the new designs Sauder has been creating lately–especially from the Soft Modern Collection. There is an office chair I am drooling over that I think will be perfect for my son’s bedroom and the price it right!

They have so many styles to choose from on their site. There really is something for everyone! I love that all their pieces are at affordable prices too!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Sauder. The opinions and text are all mine.

I am told that brass antelopes have that effect on many. It’s okay, it distracts me too ;)

Love the bookshelf! It reminds me a bit if the IKEA one we have in our living room. We were also drawn to it because it was metal.

Beautiful! I am sure you’ve talked about it before but I couldn’t find it with a quick search (and I’m on my way out haha), but is your pink and gold print DIY or did you purchase it? Either way, it is beautiful! I look forward to checking out Sauder!

Hi Julie :) I just painted that on canvas. So, DIY ;) I have a larger one in my living room I painted a while back and I just painted the one behind the bookcase over the weekend :) Thanks so much! xo Kristin

I’m in love with the bookcase and will check out Sauder’s. Don’t think I’ve heard the name before but I sure like the product. It would be wonderful if I could put it together and not have to ask my husband for help…..Thank you for sharing.

I am the opposite – love putting furniture together! It looks great – kind of sad you’re getting everything so put together just to leave. Though it will all be waiting for you when get back :)
