Yesterday, we had a fun-filled day of holiday crafting at our home! We made decorations to continue the festive spirit around here and some creations to give as gifts. Today, I am sharing how I used FrogTape Textured Surface to paint a holiday pattern on a basket.
Frog Tape® Textured Surface Kit is a new product that is made specifically for hard to paint textured surfaces like stucco, textured walls, and much more. I thought I'd try it out on a woven basket I want to use for a gift.
I made a simple tree design using the tape.
Next, I used a wet towel and went over the tape's edge. This activates the Paint Block® and ensures a nice seal.
Then, I applied the edge sealer. I ran this along the edge of my design. Don't be alarmed of it's milky appearance, it is supposed to look that way when you apply it.
Be sure to clean application brush after you are done using it so it is ready for future projects.
You must wait 15 minutes for the edge sealer to dry.
Once dry, you can paint. Once your paint is dry to the touch you can remove the tape.
I made this to use for a cocoa gift basket for one of our neighbors. I just added the mugs and a mason jar filled with cocoa goodness.
I am really excited to use this next on our textured walls when we makeover the kids' rooms.
