As we approach another year, I wanted to reflect back on 2012.
Back in June of this year, I started this little blog not really knowing what I was doing or if anyone would read it. I love to design and DIY and I wanted to share inspiration with others. After these past 6 months, I am so grateful to all of you! You have made blogging a passion. I am truly thankful for each one of you that check in daily to see our latest project. You have all made this worthwhile.
I have gone through quite a few of my posts to select the most viewed and shared projects. I laugh at myself sometimes, and cringe at some of the poor photos in the beginning! Let me just say I have never ever wanted a DSLR camera and 50 mm lens like I do now!
So, without further ado, here are your favorites:
Our bedroom makeover has been one of our most popular posts. It is still my favorite room in our house. I am so glad we chose to remodel that room first. With all this constant remodeling going on it is nice to have a wonderful place to lay our heads at night.
The little livingroom mini-makeover has really made me love this space. Dave wasn’t sure about my idea to paint the wall blue, but I am happy to report that he loves it too, just as I knew he would. He should know by now to trust my design decisions, right? Well, I think he scratches his head at me more times than I want to admit, but it works. Thank you, Honey!
I love that you all loved my glam take on this table. It is one of my favorites too! Simple changes can really make a piece of furniture unique!
DIY is the heart of this blog. I have a journal full of ideas for 2013! My personal favorite is the large scale art I made with a shower curtain from Target. These are the most popular from 2012: papered storage box, microwave cart turned bar cart, faux mercury glass, fabric and nailhead pinboard, and the goodwill lamp makeover.
For 2013, we will continue our Kitchen Possible! kitchen renovation. We hit the half-way point right before Christmas and will continue it after the new year. I also have some simple yet great DIY’s planned to share…and some exciting news to share too!!
I will be on Holiday Break starting this Saturday and won’t return until after Christmas, so I wish you all the best this holiday season. I’ll be loving on my family, eating way too many indulgent foods, and enjoying our first snowstorm from the comfort of a fireside chair sipping coffee of course.
Thank you again for your support! Best to all of you in 2013!
