Anniversary Trip: 10 years baby!

Well, just popping in. I am decompressing from our travels this weekend. Let’s just say it was a much-needed trip and a perfect way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Just a few moments from our days away. Much more beautiful photos will be posted when I get the results of our photo shoot, which was super fun by the way!

This place looked like an English country cottage. All the furnishing came from the owner’s trips to Europe. So lavish!

We enjoyed fires here early in the morning and late at night.

The boudoir.

It was night when we arrived so excuse the picture quality, but it gives you a glimpse of the magnificent accomodations!

How each day started.

One of the organic gourmet meals we indulged in.

The front entrance of the cottage.

The view on one of our hikes.

Happy 10 years!!!!

…now back to reality!

Happy Anni K! What a romantic setting for a special 10 year Anni! It’s a big deal after the 7 year itch in which I’m currently scratching! LOL. Cheers to your forever! Were there a lot of cling clinging?

Ahhhhhh, sounds so special. Would it somewhere you’d revisit? Or are you a been there done that? Shaun and I would spend just about every Anni or at Morton’s Steak House…heehee his favorite and few hundred dollar splurge just for those Rockefeller Oysters, Filet dinner, drinks and lava cake! The best place was our 3 year at one of Monterey Bays Bed&Breakfast. I’ll make sure out 10 year is just as special as your was. :)

We have a few favorites and this one is definitely somewhere we’d revisit. I’d like to go back one year at the peak of fall to see all the colors. It was cozy, romantic, pampering–all the things you’d wish for on a trip like that :)
My husband loves fancy steak houses too. We have one in town that we reserve for special celebrations ;) xo K

Hi, Jesse! We went to a place in northern Illinois near Galena called Irish Hollow. It is 500 acres and has 5 cottages that you can stay in. It was absolutely perfect! xo Kristin
