It’s Day 25, 24, 23 of the 25 Days Until Fall Countdown.
Day 23
Subtle Fall
If you don’t want to go all out in fall decor, this is a great example of how to add some seasonal sensibility to your home.
I am of the mind that seasonal decor doesn’t have to hit you over the head. Adding textural pieces like woolen blankets, baskets, and branches can really give you the same feeling of fall without having an array of pumpkins and leaves all over the house.
Heavier textures add a sense of warmth.
Note the chevron pattern repeated in the basket weave of this pumpkin.
Little surprises in those little nooks. Sometimes, less is more…
I agree that change is best when its subtle. Here, changing slipcovers gives a whole new feeling to the living room and everywhere flower colors go from summer brights to oranges and yellows of sunflowers and dahlias.
Lulu, thanks for sharing. I love that you change it up. Each season seems to have it’s own mood, does it not? Happy Friday! xoxo Kristin
I think I’m going to love every single of your Fall tweaks! That pumpkin is simply perfect! I love the texture it adds.
