Home Tour

This house surrounds our family with love and joy and is one big project. Every room needs some TLC. Room by room we go, will it ever stop? Nobody knows! All kidding aside, this has been so fun to work on together. We are doing everything ourselves and on a budget. So everything you see here is not expensive at all, but we think it looks like a million bucks! We’ll keep adding to this as we finish projects around here. Thanks for stopping by!

I am actually going to do a post about them. All I did was buy the 2-pack frames from the craft store. I used the provided inserts as background and just turned them so the back was facing up. I used 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock sheets (from the scrapbook aisle) as and cut glittered ribbon and placed it down the center. I just held the regular sized 4×6 photos with photo corners. Great question! It was really inexpensive, I spent under $40 for the entire project of 8 completed frames. xxx Kristin

Amanda, this was just a Target cheap-o. I picked it up a couple years ago on clearance. I don’t think they have the same one anymore, but I saw one similiar at RugsUSA.com. xo Kristin

Thank you, Selina! No, I live in northern Illinois and it is frigid and snowy. I do like seeing it out my window though (with a coffee in hand and sitting by a warm fire 😉 Thanks for visiting! xo Kristin

We picked it up at a flea market. I’ve seen similiar ones online on 1st dibs but priced really high. I would check out flea markets and antique stores first. xo Kristin

I NEED TO PAINT MY ROOM THE EXACT SAME COLOR AS YOUR BEDROOM!!! Do you happen to know the color of the gray??

    • BLISS AT HOME says

Oh, sure! The colors are under FAQ’s on the menu tab at the top of the page. Happy Painting!! xo Kristin

Thanks Wendy :) I found them at a church rummage sale and just added the shades. Really easy to install. They came with plates and screws that attach to the base. I just used anchors when I drilled into the wall. Have a great weekend! xo Kristin

Love your use of gold & blue & white pottery in your living room…so elegant & classy.

I nearly squealed with delight when I saw your backyard pond. We have a similar pond (here when we purchased the house) and when we run the waterfall the pond is emptied within 8 hours. Does that happen with yours as well? We’ve resided to just unplugging the pump but then the water becomes stagnant. Any suggestions?

Hi Ashley, the ceiling fixture I purchased from overstock.com. I think they still carry it or one similar :) xo Kristin
